Farm to School Central Coast began in 2020 in an effort to connect small and medium sized local farmers to school district buyers. The program acts as the in-between entity that communicates with sellers and buyers to streamline communication, expectations, and requirements.

Farm to School Central Coast works with 11 school districts from Orcutt all the way to Cambria and San Miguel. We work with 20+ farmers from Santa Maria to Paso Robles and the program reaches 59,000+ students.

In addition to connecting farm to cafeteria, we connect farmer to student. We organize and coordinate school activities that invite farmers to meet students, teach them about their farm and food, and participate in taste testing activities. Farm to School Central Coast is excited to expand these events to incorporate food and nutrition education in partnership with various regional education organizations!

Below, you will find our Farm to School Central Coast farms that want to sell produce to schools! Items purchased will be delivered to school districts directly by the farmer who will provide you with an invoice of what is delivered.
